your silver garden
Nov. 21st, 2023 03:18 pmI remember when I saw your artwork for the first time. It was a closeup of Waku’s corpse, centering on his face as he lay in the dark water. There was something very beautiful and pure about his expression, and it is still vivid in my head.
In the early days of my being in the Bokurano fandom, you were indirectly guiding and motivating me. Everyday, I would peruse your gallery, reliving the magic of the manga through it. I could always feel your passion for the things that you loved.
It wasn’t until June of 2022 that I found your website, and your translations of the light novel series within it. And I want to thank you for your effort in bringing this wonderful alternate world to the Anglosphere fans. It helped me see the characters in a brand new way, and I appreciated everything so much more.
Roughly October 20, 2022 was the day you came back online for a while. I finally got the chance to interact with you, and seized it I did. And what an experience it was. You overflowed with warmth and sweetness. There was something contagious about your excitement, particularly whenever we talked about your favorite character. I’ll always cherish those few months.
Looking back, it’s fine if you want to take a break from the internet, no matter how long it takes. I confess that I didn’t take it too well initially, as it (to me) randomly came out of the blue and left me worried sick. But you have a life outside the internet, and that should always come first. I just hope you’re doing well, wherever you are.
And once more, thank you for everything, and happy birthday Ismael.
